Information
The Chase Business Cash Rewards Card, issued by Chase, is designed for those with very good credit who are looking to consolidate business related expenses with one credit card and plan to take advantage of the rebate program. Through the rebate program, cardholders receive up to 5% cash back on all their purchases with no limit on the amount of cash rewards that they can earn. However, the earnings are based on the following tiered system: one point per $1 for new net purchases totaling between $0 and $2,000 each billing cycle; five points per $1 for new net purchases totaling over $2,000 and up to $2,500 each billing cycle; and 1.25 points per $1 for new net purchases totaling over $2,500 each billing cycle. Therefore, not all purchases will earn the full 5% rebate. Cardholders receive $50 every time that they earn 5,000 points or they can choose to receive brand-name merchant gift certificates. Aside from the reward program, the card provides several benefits that include a purchase protection plan, travel accident insurance, and auto rental insurance. The card has no annual fee, and it provides a 0% introductory rate for the first six billing cycles on purchases and balance transfers. However, once the introductory rate expires, the card does have an above average interest rate for purchases and balance transfers. Those who plan to occasionally carry a large revolving balance may find doing so costly due to the "Two Cycles Average Daily Balance" method used by this credit card to determine finance charges, which ends up costing more to maintain an occasional balance compared to the "Average Daily Balance" method used by some other credit card issuers. Therefore, those who can pay in full each month after the introductory rate expires (to avoid finance charges) and plan to take advantage of the reward program will benefit most from what the Chase Business Cash Rewards Card has to offer.
